From Germany with love

It was love that brought Joachim and Piagina together in wedlock. This newly married couple from Germany, came all the way down to Thekkady in God’s Own Country, to celebrate their love for each other.

What was planned as a honeymoon getaway amidst the beautiful locales of Thekkady, the couple were enamored by the traditional Hindu weddings they happened to come across in Kerala. As they checked into Greenwoods, the couple wanted to have a traditional Kerala style Hindu Wedding arranged.  Needless to say, the staff and management at Greenwoods took it upon themselves to ensure that Joachim and Piagina had a resplendent traditional Hindu wedding with all the festivity and colour.

The bride, Piagina looked very much the traditional bride, adorned in a beautiful white set saree and the groom, Joachim who works in insurance replaced his business suit with a traditional mundu and silk shirt to fit the occasion. Such a wedding would not be complete without the friends and families of the bride and groom.  So in addition to the relatives of the bride and groom, the staff of Greenwoods was on hand as part of their extended families to give the bride away. A one of a kind honeymoon like this was made even more special because of the beautiful ambience created by the environment at the resort. Amidst the trees and birds, the wedding resembled a scene from the pages of the ancient epics.
